I have a passion for art and my paintings are inspired by nature's treasures, intuition, light & imagination. I have been painting since early childhood. My mother was an amazing artist, she had a profound effect on my life as a painter. I have lived in many beautiful places, being born and raised in the South. Hawaii was my home for 25 years before moving to North Idaho in 2008. The dramatic changes and experiencing the four seasons has helped me to evolve as an artist. I am self taught, inspired by many different artists but mainly impressionist masters Monet, Van Gough and Degas. I have studied their compositions, light & emotion. I paint in oils using a palette knife, layering to build interest, depth and magnetism. It is a unique impasto process using a lot of paint.
